American Doctorate Degree Programs-Barry University

Barry University is a Catholic school located in Miami, Florida. The University offers a variety of both graduate and undergraduate programs for its diverse student population. This school has students hailing from 49 states and 80 countries. Students at the school will be further enriched beyond academics by learning to live and work with fellow students from around the United States and the world. The school has 50 graduate programs available and of these, there are numerous doctorate degree programs.



The length of time to complete one of the doctorate degree programs will depend upon the field. PhD degrees offered by Barry University are: social work; TESOL culture, language, and literacy specialization; nursing; higher education administration; human resource development; exceptional student education; elementary education specialization; education computers and technology; early childhood education specialization; curriculum and instruction; culture, language and literacy TESOL specialization; and counseling specializing in marital, couples and families.



For admission into any of Barry University’s graduate programs, a prospective student must submit the following: an application with admission fee; transcripts; a statement of purpose; recent GRE test scores; and three letters of recommendations. A last interview will be conducted with two key faculty members. Foreign and non-English speaking students will also need to provide Barry University with a green card or related information and recent TOFEL scores. These are the same requirements to apply for any of the doctorate degree programs offered by the school with some additional requirements dependent upon the choice of degree.
