Founded in 1952, Adler School of Professional Psychology is an independent graduate school of psychology that has received accreditation from the American Psychological Association. With its primary campus in Chicago, Illinois, it boasts additional campuses in Canada, British Columbia, and Vancouver. American Doctorate Degree Programs  – Subjects and Kinds

The Adler School of Professional Psychology offers a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology (a Psy.D. being the psychology equivalent of a Ph.D. in other American doctorate degree programs). The doctorate degree program is an approximately five year program for full-time students (students taking ten or more credit hours per term). Prospective students must possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and have a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 grading scale) for all undergraduate and graduate coursework.

American Doctorate Degree Programs  – Entry Requirements

Applicants of PhD Degree Programs must also have taken a minimum of 18 semester credit hours in psychology, receiving a “C” or better in each course. Of these required hours, the following courses are mandatory: introductory/general psychology, research methods, abnormal psychology, and personality theory. Score reports from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test (MAT) are not required but may be submitted with application materials for American Doctorate Degree Programs.
